This Chevelle SS 396 is reported as a very rare example that was a customer ordered car that has the very uncommon code 45, or as seen on period charts, Green Mist. The car was sold new in Atlanta, Georgia and remained there most of its life; it was then treated to a frame-off restoration. The car runs with a L34 396-cid, 350-hp V-8 engine that is paired to a M21 four-speed floor-shift manual, close-ratio transmission with a Posi-traction rear end and 3.31:1 gearing. The drivetrain is reported to be correct to this car.
Among the factory equipment that comes with this good looking machine is a rare bench seat up front, F41 suspension, tinted glass in all windows, optional green vinyl top and trim, complementary green interior; power steering and brakes with front discs. SS wheels with BFGoodrich T/A Radial tires and hood pins are additional pieces of equipment found onboard. The Chevelle is said to run and drive like it did in 1970 and is certainly worthy of your attention.
