Designed as a car that would really let you live…within your budget. That was the philosophy behind the Plymouth Valiant Signal as it combined sport and amenities on an affordable platform. In period, the Signet was the top-of-the-line Valiant, and this was the last year for the Signet convertible. This copper-colored example is reported to have largely original paint with partial touch-ups and 30,000 actual miles. A new power-operated white convertible top and a new carpet set are also fitted. The balance of the complementary interior is said to be “mint” and the car is mechanically excellent with the top functioning properly. The 225-cid, 145-hp inline six-cylinder engine is very powerful and so quiet the owner reports that “you can’t hear it run.” An AM radio, whitewall tires and deluxe factory wheel covers are part of the equipment, as is a freshly installed muffler and battery. The Valiant Signet Convertible is ready to be driven anywhere.
