Dubbed “Flamin” by the creator, is this over-the-top 1957 Skyliner Retractable that has gone through an extensive custom restoration. It was nosed and decked, top of fenders and cruiser skirts were extended. It has a 1958 hood with custom hood scoop, two 1958 Olds grilles, motorcycle fairing park and turn signals, six 1959 Cadillac taillights, hand-built Continental kit, pushbutton door releases, dual frenched antennas, lakes pipes with running lights, exhaust pipes with working flame throwers, trim elements abound with the flame theme and so much more is offered and seen with this one-off vehicle.

The body and paint is absolutely beautiful. The exterior custom color is Cadillac Canyon Yellow with Sliver Pearl. It has ghost flames on the sides along with anodized gold trim inserts with matching engraved flames by known talent, Jerry Potts of Creative Engraving. The wheels and tires match the exterior theme. The exterior is complemented with an amazing custom interior by Ed Banes Interiors. It is extremely rich and classy looking with real fawn perforated leather and Ultra Hyde that is rolled and pleated throughout, including the trunk compartment. Jerry Potts also engraved the interior panels to match the exterior. Some custom features include 1967 Thunderbird seats and illuminated center console that was extended nine-inches, 1964 Galaxie sunvisors, Ford Hi-Tech gauges, steering wheel with tilt column, stereo system, front and rear air conditioning and a custom control panel to operate all the features. The top opens and closes beautifully; the retractable hardtop is always a spectacle for onlookers, and how often is a Skyliner presented as an amazing custom car? It is also fitted out with two heavy-duty batteries on separate switches.

The heart of this exciting custom is a powerful 460 cubic inch V-8. The engine is smooth, sounds great, and is presented in a very well-prepared and nicely presented engine bay. Custom blower fans were installed in the inner fenders to keep it cool along with a Jeep Wrangler five-core radiator. Other features include aluminum serpentine pulleys and Wilwood master cylinder. It has a complete Air Ride suspension system that is completely adjustable to ride height preference. Chassis upgrades include dropped spindles, front disc brakes, custom differential with panhard bar, and a front crossmember that was custom notched and smoothed to clear the engine. It is a remarkable custom that will be a hit at any custom car event or simply cruising down your favorite boulevards.
