Having been in production for over a decade, Bentley announced in 2008 that Arnage production would come to an end the following year, making way for its replacement, the Mulsanne. To celebrate the model’s role in Bentley’s history, a limited run of Arnage T Final Series would be produced, combining the performance of the Arnage T with the refinement of the Arnage R. Built for the 2009 model year, these cars would also celebrate Bentley’s 90th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of their V-8 engine. The Final Series was fully customizable by their clients and identifiable by Final Series badges inside and out, along with unique 20-inch wheels, dark tinted front grilles, lower front wing vents, and twin exhaust pipes, among other features. Initially, production was planned for 150 cars, but no more than 96 were produced.

The Final Series presented here is a particularly special example in being produced for Bentley themselves to be used as a Works demonstrator and finished in ‘Porcelain’ metallic paint over ‘Linen’ coloured leather interior. This Bentley was destined for Old Bentley Berlin but was actually built with options to appeal to the Russian market, particularly with dark privacy glass, a chrome radiator surround and a hip flask with shot glasses hidden in the rear compartment for the passengers. The options lavished on this example are too numerous to list here but it was specified with scant regard to cost so even two telephones are fitted, a sunroof and television screens in the rear.

Once this Final Series’ life as a Works demonstrator in Berlin was finished, it remained in Germany for a further three years until 2012 when it was brought to the UK. During the current ownership over the last six years, it has been regularly maintained with the latest service being conducted in October 2019, with the odometer showing just 39,860 miles today. Only 69 LHD Arnage Final Series were produced and this important example remains a fantastic Bentley to either be enjoyed as luxurious transport or simply admired in a collection.
