Production was completed on 28 July 1976 and delivered to official dealer M. Gastone Crepaldi in Milano, Italy. On October 29, 1976 the car was delivered to its first owner. In the 1980s, the car was seen in Switzerland, with professional race car driver Jean Denis Déletraz from Geneva. In 1984, the car was registered in the name of Cousins Metal Industries in New York. In 1987, the car was sold through Hervé Poulain and Remy Le Fur auction in Paris to journalist, Mr. Gabriel Tortella. Over the years, the car was serviced at Pozzi and copies of these invoices are in the file.

In 2010, the 512 BB was imported into The Netherlands and remained with the same custodian for over 15 years. The car was well maintained at marque specialists Forza Service and Mugello Engineering in The Netherlands.

In the spring of 2025, the 512 BB received a major engine-out service, replacement of all fluids, filters and belts, and tires. Also the clutch was replaced during this service. Invoices in file over €35,000 in total.
