AUBURN, Indiana (January 28, 2014) – Auctions America kick-started its 2014 auction calendar with its first online memorabilia-only sale, January 24 – 25, live from the Auburn Auction Park. The event was a fantastic success, garnering total sales of more than $276,300 when over 800 lots crossed the auction block without reserve. Attracting tremendous national and global interest, bidders hailed from 45 states across the U.S. and 10 countries around the world, with nearly 80 percent representing new Auctions America clientele.

The sale was highlighted by the eclectic Wally Arnold Collection, featuring a wide selection of quality petroliana, automobilia, signs, soda fountain and country store nostalgia. The top sale of the two-day event, a United Motors Double-Sided Porcelain Outdoor Sign, came from the collection, selling for a very strong $6,785 to exceed its pre-sale estimate. The online auction also presented an extensive model railroad offering from a private collection, including an incredible assortment of new-old-stock (NOS) collectibles.

“The variety of collectibles available at our debut memorabilia-only sale clearly appealed to a wide and international audience,” says Donnie Gould, president of Auctions America. “The format of the auction proved very successful and was a great jump start to the expansion of Auctions America’s memorabilia division.”
