AUBURN, Indiana (October 7, 2013) – Auctions America capped off what has been the company’s best year yet with its annual Fall Carlisle sale, October 3-4, at the Carlisle Expo Center in Pennsylvania. Held in conjunction with the Carlisle Events Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet & Corral, the sale featured a diverse roster of 256 classics, exotics, muscle cars, hot rods, customs and motorcycles, and generated more than $2.8 million in total sales. Demonstrating continued strong interest from the global collector car community, bidders represented nine countries around the world and 27 states across the United States.

Top sale honors went to a beautifully restored and well-equipped 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible, selling for a strong $181,500, making it the most valuable vehicle ever sold at any Auctions America Carlisle event. Additional top sellers included a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster featuring a frame-off, concours quality restoration for $104,500, along with a well-documented, award-winning 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster for $76,000, once again proving that Carlisle is steeped in Corvette tradition and enthusiasm.

This year’s event saw our highest sales and best sell-through rate at Fall Carlisle, making it a great end to what has been an outstanding season for Auctions America,” says Donnie Gould, president of Auctions America. “The Fall Carlisle results prove that the collector car hobby is alive and well.
