  • Clad in its original coat of Grand Prix White over Mahogany partial leather interior

While the lion’s share of 930-generation 911 Turbos were fitted with four-speed gearboxes, this example is one of the few to benefit from the desirable, 1989-exclusive, five-speed Getrag G50 gearbox. Furnished with this coveted transaxle, chassis 50102 was completed in Zuffenhausen on 22 August 1988 for export to the United States. Clad in Grand Prix White over a Mahogany partial leather interior, the car was notably equipped with a sunroof, limited-slip differential, leather sport seats with electric vertical adjustment, and a Porsche AM/FM compact disc player with amplifier.

Per its accompanying original bill of sale, this special Turbo was purchased by its first owner on 29 January 1989 via Sierra Auto Center of Reno, Nevada. The original warranty and maintenance book’s first entry shows it was delivered to Reno on 21 April 1989 with just 143 miles on the odometer. The bill of sale provides a final sale price of $66,098.50 and, while little is known of its early history, the car has undoubtedly lived a pampered life; it shows just 4,846 miles at the time of cataloguing. Since being acquired by the White Collection in 2014, the car has since been kept in a museum-quality state, with monthly turns starting and running the engine to operating temperature.

Equipped with its matching-numbers engine and transaxle, and clad in its original coat of Grand Prix White, the car is also accompanied by its original warranty and maintenance book, owner’s manual, bill of sale, copy of its original Certificate of Origin, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, air compressor, car cover, assortment of factory tools, jack, and lug wrench.

With low mileage, original paint, and the much sought-after Getrag G50 transaxle, this remarkable 911 Turbo is well deserving of a marquee position in any leading Porsche collection.
