Motive power for this GTA is supplied by a 3.6-liter 250-hp turbocharged V-6 mated to a four-speed overdrive automatic transmission. One of only 1,500 identical models built to honor the Trans Am’s 20th anniversary, its standard features include air conditioning, power windows, seats, steering and brakes; tilt wheel, cruise control and an AM/FM cassette stereo. The white exterior features ground effects, removable T-tops, and unique Indy Speedway badges, the tan interior supplies articulated front bucket seats, and its WS6 sports suspension is tuned for the track. This Pace Car meets every speedway performance requirement for pacing without any mechanical or technical modifications.
