US Title
  • The quintessential 1980s Ferrari in the marque’s most iconic color combination
  • Beautifully finished in red over black leather
  • Showing less than 12,000 original miles at the time of cataloging
  • Single ownership for the last 25 years
  • Recent engine-out service to ensure top mechanical condition
  • A wonderful example of the enduring automotive legend that is Ferrari’s famous, mid-engine, V-12 Testarossa

With its imposing proportions, jaunty side strakes, and potent 12-cylinder engine, the Ferrari Testarossa created a sensation when it launched in 1984. By the end of the decade, it had become synonymous with the unbridled ambition and sense of excess that marked the era. Capturing the imagination of the public and carving out a niche in popular culture, the Testarossa took a starring role in the hit US television series Miami Vice, while global icons including Michael Jordan, M.C. Hammer and Mike Tyson clamored to add the sportscar to their garages.

Ferrari’s landmark supercar is no less a status symbol today than it was in period, thanks not only to its poster-pinup good looks, but also class-leading performance from its thundering 5.0-liter flat-12 engine mounted amidships.

The example offered here was first registered in Florida and appears to have remained so for most of its life, according to its Carfax report. With just under 12,000 miles indicated on the odometer at cataloguing time and remaining with a single caretaker for the past 25 years, the car appears to be in highly original condition, its Rosso Corsa exterior and black leather interior being well-preserved with signs of characterful patina throughout.

Said to have benefitted from a recent engine-out service, this Testarossa is a wonderful candidate for enjoying on the road, or to serve as a basis for further restoration. Regardless, it is an excellent example of the enduring automotive legend that is Ferrari’s famous, 1980s, mid-engine, V-12 supercar, offered in the marque’s most iconic color combination.
