Following hot on the heels of one of the most celebrated Ferraris of modern times, the 360’s successor had big shoes to fill. Thankfully, the F430 didn’t disappoint. At its heart lay a brand-new 4.3-litre 90-degree V-8 engine capable of delivering up to 480-horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque, with a headline top speed of 191 mph and the ability to reach 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds. Coupled with the new powerplant were no fewer than five selectable driving modes and a computer controlled “E-Diff” limited-slip differential, which contributed to class-leading handling and performance.

Already a step-change from its predecessor in terms of performance, the F430 was also a visual departure thanks to the pen of Pininfarina’s Frank Stephenson. The car was a study in aggression and purpose, with inspiration coming from both ends of Maranello’s back catalogue; the front bumper intakes were an ode to the shark-nosed Ferrari 156 grand prix car of 1961, while the side air intakes, rear diffuser, and taillights were borrowed from the top-of-the-range Enzo. Things only got more appealing with the launch of the Spider variant at the 2005 Geneva International Motor Show.

This beautifully specified example was ordered new in European configuration. Tastefully optioned with Rosso Corsa paintwork over a Nero leather interior with matching Rosso stitching and brake callipers, the car remained in climate-controlled storage from the point of delivery and at the time of cataloguing had covered just 104 kilometres since new. Incredibly, the protective plastic covering the carpets is still in place, and the car presents in time-warp condition. Coming as no surprise, this F430 has been found to retain its matching-numbers engine. The car is accompanied by a set of owner’s manuals and service books, a car cover, tyre inflator, and toolkit.

This remarkable Ferrari F430 offers the vanishingly rare opportunity to acquire a delivery miles example of one of Maranello’s most accomplished modern supercars.
