The vehicle offered, OT-64 Armored Personnel Carrier is a former Czechoslovakian Army vehicle. It is an original, unrestored vehicle. It starts and runs easily. The main gun has been removed, but the armored body does not appear to have been demilled. The interior and exterior paint are still usable in their present condition. The tires are in very good condition. The crew and infantry seats are present and in good condition. The infantry seats are still marked with specific soldier positions: rifleman, machine gunner, RPG gunner, etc.

Developed as a joint venture by Poland and Czechoslovakia in the late 1950s, the OT-64 entered service in the armies of both countries in late 1963. The 8x8 OT-64 was similar to its Russian contemporary, the BTR-60. However; instead of the gasoline engine used in the BTR, the OT-64 used a diesel engine which was safer as its fuel is less flammable. Also, the OT-64 was fully-enclosed while early BTR-60's had an open top. The OT-64 is fully-amphibious and is driven in the water by two propellers mounted at the rear of the hull. Furthermore, all eight wheels are connected to a central inflation system that allows the driver to increase or decrease the tire pressure depending upon the terrain.

Several variants of the OT-64 were produced including the initial turret-less type, a repair version, command and signal version and artillery observation versions. Production ended sometime in the early 1970s with approximately 4,500 being built in both Poland and Czechoslovakia. They were exported to numerous countries including Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Syria and others. While retired from the Polish and Czech armies, they are still in service with others.
