Building on the success of the Firebird, Pontiac introduced the second generation in 1970, and with it, continued to offer the Trans AM with performance and appearance upgrades. Nineteen seventy-six marked a big year for Pontiac as they celebrated their 50th anniversary. To commemorate this Pontiac released Limited Edition Trans AMs which featured a unique appearance package.
This 1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM is presented in black with the gold firebird emblem on the hood. The car rides on BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, which are mounted on gold factory honeycomb alloy wheels. The car is powered by a 455-cid, 200-hp V-8 engine that is connected to a four-speed manual transmission. Power equipment on the car includes windows, steering and brakes.
The interior is completed in black with bucket seats, an engine turned dash with full instrumentation, air conditioning, Delco GM radio, and an 8-track player.
