Arguably, there has not been an American car looked upon with such high standards as the 1959 Cadillac. Timeless in its design, this car set a high standard for what American luxury should look and feel like. Still today there is so substitute for the ‘jet age’ designed Cadillac; it is “in a realm all its own.” A period advertisement for the Cadillac exclaimed how perfectly proportioned this new car was; which is evident by its popularity today. Another advertisement went on to say “We know you will agree that it is the world’s nicest place to sit.”

The current caretaker purchased the car in 2002, and has unsurprisingly named the car “Pinky.” This stunning Cadillac has been a part of numerous local car shows and parades. Most recently it has been used at fundraising events to raise money for a cure for breast cancer. This automobile has been fully restored and is highly presentable order. It has been finished in the classic and the memorable pink paint with a matching pink interior. The exterior is accented with wheel covers that carry a turbine wheel design. The sides of that car carry a marvelous line that extends from the front of that car to the rear of the car where it comes together and matches perfectly with the rear bumper.

The wheelbase on this monstrous Cadillac is 129.5-inches; and it holds a 325 horsepower, 390 cubic inch V-8 engine that is married to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. The chassis has wishbone front suspension and a live rear axle. Other amenities found on this Cadillac include whitewall tires, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, in-dash radio and a white-powered convertible top. Under-the-hood service and maintenance has been performed by BLVD Customs and Vern’s AC Delco Service Center. The exterior work that has been most recently completed was done by Tackley Auto Body; with some earlier work completed by Lincoln Land Inc.

This Cadillac is one of the most influential American cars produced; and this example is possibly the most delightful one available.
