Of the more than 46,000 Corvettes produced in 1978, a limited 6,502 were outfitted with the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car badging and graphics, based upon a one-per-dealership offering. The upgrade was a full $4,300 above the base Corvette price. Finished in the Pace Car colors of black and silver with silver interior, this outstanding example features an automatic transmission, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, power windows, polished factory alloy wheels, mirrored T-tops, factory air conditioning, front and rear spoilers, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, AM/FM radio and dual exterior mirrors.
