Considered one of the finest engineered automobiles ever built, the Mercedes-Benz 600-series defined luxury for its time and continues to carry luxury with it today. Only 2,190 models were built between 1963 and 1981, making it a very rare automobile.

Most models were sold to government officials and celebrities. Some noteworthy names include Hugh Hefner, Elizabeth Taylor, John Lennon, George Harrison, Aristotle Onassis, and Elvis Presley. This model of car was also popularly used in film, featured most famously in James Bond’s “On Her Majesty's Service” and “Diamonds Are Forever." These are very special cars with heavy demand in both Europe and the Middle East. How many are left is unknown.

This particular example of the 600 limousine is truly remarkable and in such excellent condition that shines with the beauty of its time. Originally painted gray, this 600-series short wheelbase model has since been painted magnificent red, a $30,000 expense that makes the car unique in its own. All chrome features are in near perfect condition. The interior is also in excellent condition, and the car operates as it should.

The underside, trunk and engine compartments are all in excellent condition as well. All hydraulics are in working condition, including sunroof, seats, hood and trunk. The air suspension self-leveling is also in pristine working condition, as are all windows, which features black-out privacy curtains in the rear. This Mercedes also sports new tires and battery and a powerful 6.3-liter V-8 engine with top speed of 127-mph.

Other luxury features of this vehicle include its center console, which was built to store the amenities of a mini bar. This particular 1969 600 center console has been well maintained, still with a set of shot glasses and cocktail shaker ready to use. This Mercedes also includes all of the original manuals and a case-held stepper for its passengers to use.
