Other features include a 360-cid, 180-hp V-8 engine with four-barrel carburetor mated to an automatic transmission. The truck is finished in Medium Canyon Red with a black interior. Gold accent striping and decals contribute to the distinctive look along with wood trim on the outer bed side surfaces and tailgate, chrome five-slot wheels, bed tonneau cover and chrome plated side steps. Further appointments on this example include power brakes.

This particular Li’l Red Express is reported to have have never been restored, but has been well-maintained. The wood has all been removed or refinished. Various areas were repainted as needed, such as the bed. A two-owner vehicle; it was originally a farm vehicle used on an estate in Wisconsin. The interior has had the instrument panel replaced and new carpet. The radio was removed, but it is set aside and available. Mechanically, the vehicle runs perfectly, and does not burn oil. At the time of catalog printing, the accelerator cable was broken at the pedal. It has since been fixed. All of the engine seals and gaskets are said to have been replaced about five years ago. The paint has some minor scratches in places. There is no visible rust, but one of the cabin floors is a little weak.

The Li'l Red Express is truly a factory customized vehicle for the avid Dodge enthusiast and it came fully equipped in this manner from the factory for maximum visual effect. This represents the second and last year that this pickup was offered with just over 5,000 produced this model year.
