The 575M was introduced in 2002 after the six-year production run of the 550 Maranello. A return to form for the prancing horse, this platform was the first front-engine, V-12, two-seat grand tourer from Ferrari since the celebrated 365 GTB/4 Daytona. The Pininfarina-bodied car maintains the classic long hood, short deck proportions of older Ferrari GTs, while also featuring throwback details such as the front hood intake scoop.

Ferrari gave the model a thorough refreshing inside and out. Beginning with the engine, displacement was increased from 5.5 liters to 5.7. With over 500 horsepower on tap the 575M was capable of a top speed of over 200 mph. Larger brakes were installed to help reign in the added speed. The exterior of the vehicle received slight aerodynamic refinements and a new front fascia. Inside, new instruments filled the gauge cluster alongside a modernized dashboard.

The 2003 Ferrari 575M on offer is presented in Grigio Alloy (750) with gorgeous Blu Scuro (3282) leather interior. It rides on 18-inch factory alloy wheels with ZR-rated Bridgestone S-02 tires. The Ferrari is powered by a 5.7-liter DOHC V-12 engine featuring Tubi exhaust. The engine is paired to the six-speed electro-hydraulic “F1” gearbox with paddle shifters.

Service records show the major 30,000 mile service was conducted at 28,209 miles and consisted of replacing the timing belt, tensioners, water pump, accessory belts, and valve cover gaskets. The clutch, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, clutch sensor, and transmission position sensor were all replaced. The flywheel was also surfaced.

Having traveled less than 28,500 miles from new, this Ferrari 575M Maranello remains in great condition, and with the original books, tools, and spare keys it’s sure to make a fine addition to any collection.
