The 1996 to 1998 Porsche 911 Turbo was also known as the 993 (mainly as the internal name at Porsche) and with its wide body and ancillary design traits; it was a surefire recipe for success. The rear arches were stretched by approximately 1.25-inches each; giving the car an immense presence from the rear view. The front and rear bumpers were enlarged downwards to make room for three large air-intakes in the nose, all while improving aerodynamic characteristics at the back. Also there was a new design for the famous “teatray” rear spoiler. It now draped itself over the engine cover; some expressed that it now appeared to have melted over the car. It was lighter than previous versions, and finished entirely in body color. In total, the production number for this 911 Turbo series was 5,978 cars.

We are delighted to present this immaculate 1997 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo. Finished in Black over a tan interior, this 911 Turbo is reported to have been driven less than 35,000 actual miles. The car is driven by a 3.6-liter, 408-hp horizontally-opposed two valves per cylinder, SOHC, twin turbo, twin intercooler, sequential fuel-injected engine; a six-speed manual transmission allows the car to be driven in a sporting manner that is fitting of its pedigree, especially since it is built on an all-wheel drive platform with a limited-slip differential for maximum power application and four-wheel ABS ventilated disc brakes to retard these speeds with precision and predictability.

Among the many exciting features on the Porsche, you will find body-color dual rearview mirrors with power control, distinctive rear spoiler, factory alloy wheels, body-color bumpers, rear window wiper, remote keyless door entry, air conditioning, AM/FM/CD, split/folding rear bucket seats, power front bucket seats and power windows to name but a few of the car’s stirring provisions. Do not miss the rare opportunity to own a part of Porsche history as 911 (993) Turbos in this condition are increasingly difficult to locate and secure.
