The Aston Martin V8 was built by Aston Martin in the United Kingdom from 1969 to 1989. As with all traditional Aston Martins, it was entirely hand-built and required approximately 1,200 hours to complete to their high standards.

Aston Martin customers had wanted an eight-cylinder car for years, so Aston Martin designed a larger car, and while awaiting the new V-8 design used a six-cylinder unit. Two years later, Tadek Marek's V-8 was ready, and as time proceeded, the Aston Martin V-8, became the company's mainstream car for nearly two decades.

Presented in original condition this V-8 Volante is driven by a powerful 5,340-cc V-8 unit that produces over 400 horsepower; in this case, it is joined by an automatic transmission. The interior is reported in excellent condition and the beautiful wood trim elements are said to be equally great. Among the equipment on this impressive British platform is air conditioning, Alpine stereo with Bluetooth, auxiliary foglights, cruise control, factory BBS-style alloy wheels, wood-rimmed steering wheel, Smiths instrumentation; power top, windows, sideview mirrors, steering and four-wheel disc brakes. At a time when American car builders had generally shunned the convertible; the Aston Martin V-8 Volante was a welcome and warmly received machine that memorably stood out then as now.
