In 1948, this represented the mid-range Buick’s glamorous way to go places – with its top up or down it was one of the sharpest cars on any boulevard. Motoring thrills are gathered by its behavior on the road, wide seating and ease of having standard equipment such as the automatically-operated top. Handsome inside and out; it’s long and low and is renowned for its seating comfort, legroom and overall stylishness.

The Regency Blue finish is handsomely matched with a low-profile tan canvas soft-top and the interior is upholstered in dark red leather, as is the top boot. The engine is a 248-cid, 115-hp straight eight-cylinder and the transmission is automatic. Among the features found on the Buick are backup lights, AM radio, clock, fender skirts, bumper guards with accessory bar, distinguishing brightwork, color-keyed steel wheels with factory wheel covers and wide whitewall tires.

With approximately 19,000 similar Series 50 Model 56C Super Convertibles reported built, this model is thought to have seen far fewer survive and is now considered as a quite uncommon and sought-after Buick that has a well-established status and is presented in a very nice fashion.
