The peak of style and grace, the new 1955 Bel Air Nomad displayed swept-forward windows, grooved top and a softly sloping back with trim ribs. It all lent a true sportsman’s flair to the luxurious Nomad. The Bel Air Nomad was inspired by the showcar that thrilled millions; its rich fabrics and dazzling colors made it a fashion achievement with station wagon styling.

Finished in a vibrant shade of blue with white top, the interior is found in similar tones. The Nomad is equipped with the famous Power Pack 265-cid V-8, it is stated to be a “true 1955 V Code special head 265, four-barrel, dual exhaust” example. This is paired with an automatic transmission; additional equipment includes air conditioning, clock, color-keyed steel wheels with factory caps and Firestone whitewall tires.

This fine Bel Air Nomad shows just over 9,100 miles on the odometer and the title states this as “actual.” In 1955, Chevrolet offered six body styles in the Bel Air line and built a total of 770,995 cars across this model line. Of this great sum, only 6,103 of these were the coveted two-door Bel Air Nomad Wagon.
