1960 would be the first year that the renowned Mini would enter the market place in the United States. The Mini would become the bestselling Austin in the 1960s. Shortly after their appearance was noticed, modified Cooper versions appeared, making use of the cars light weight and maneuverability.

This highly-modified Mini Cooper S Rally Spec Coupe is right-hand drive and is powered by a twin carbureted inline four-cylinder engine that is connected to a manual gearbox. The exterior is finished in red with large rally lights in the front, leather straps to secure the hood, gold Minilite-type wheels wrapped in special tires and a skid plate on the bottom of the car for extra protection. The interior is equipped with a roll cage, racing seats, safety harnesses, aftermarket steering wheel, gauges and other rallying equipment.
