With the arrival of the MGA Roadster in 1955, several MG aficionados were taken aback by the fact that the prewar look of the company's sports cars had been tampered with. Instead, they were greeted with a streamlined, aerodynamic body that was up-to-the-minute in terms of styling and design.

The example presented here displays an outstanding frame-off restoration that was performed by EuroCars USA in Miami Florida. It is finished in available original factory colors of black with red leather interior, black soft-top and red carpet. The MGA is driven by a 1,600-cc inline four-cylinder engine with twin carburetors and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The exterior is complete with nicely detailed chrome trim, luggage rack and chrome wire wheels with knock-off hubs. Additional features include factory side curtains, Lucas foglights, fender-mounted dual rearview mirrors, windwings, U.S.-spec bumper overiders, whitewall tires, exquisitely presented dashboard, Smiths instrumentation and a period accessory badges with the Royal Automobile Club in the center.

Given its features, this is a wonderful example of an English sports car that championed racing circuits and showrooms around the world, and it is ready to enjoy now, and frequently.
