For 1958, Corvette received updates to the body and interior, which included a longer front end with quad-headlamps, bumper-exiting exhaust tips, exterior brightwork, a new steering wheel, a passenger grab-bar, seatbelts and dashboard with all gauges mounted directly in front of the driver; including a 160-mph speedometer. Design exclusives to the 1958 model were hood louvers and twin trunk spars. Enthusiast magazines of the period were quite positive about the mechanical changes and suitably impressed with the cars performance and handling, all at a reasonable price. With 9,168 units produced, the Corvette was one of only a few domestic car models to increase its sales figures in 1958.

In Silver Blue, with a matching interior and white soft-top; this frame-off restored ’58 features the 283-cid, 270-hp V-8 with twin four-barrel carburetion, four-speed manual transmission and Posi-traction rear axle with 4.11:1 gears. Whitewall tires, factory wheel covers and AM radio add to the stylishness this design conveys to generations of enthusiasts, plus it is an NCRS Top Flight Award winner and formerly part of the Tony Parella collection.
