This white Buick Skylark Convertible comes with an interesting narrative that states that in July 1967 a Los Angeles, California Buick dealer took delivery of this particular Skylark, which runs with the 340-cid, 260-hp four-barrel carb V-8 engine. The Buick is stated to have been new in his inventory when it was used as a parade vehicle in the Rose Parade on January 1, 1968. In the spring, Charles and Opal Corbin of Portland, Oregon purchased the car through a local dealership and are named as the car’s first owners.

The Corbin’s kept the car until Mrs. Corbin’s passing in 2005. After a few years in the family garage, Mrs. Corbin’s granddaughter and her husband decided to restore the Buick and in 2008 shipped it to Lowery’s Auto Restoration in Tilton, New Hampshire where a multi-year restoration process was undertaken by Jim Lowery. Photos were taken documenting that the car was a rust-free example. The car had, until then, been in Portland since its early days and at this time it received a full frame-off restoration in a “nuts-and-bolts” manner, returning it to its original factory condition. At the same time, the drivetrain was also completely rebuilt, per the very nature of this type of refurbishing. In 2014, the car was sent, complete with photographs and documentation, from Tilton to Pompano Beach Primetune Auto to install new stainless steel exhaust, wheels and tires. Reliable sources indicate that the modest number of 6,319 similar cars were built in the 1967 model year.
