For 1968 Chevrolet introduced the C3 platform, this marked the introduction of the Mako Shark inspired lines. The new Sting Ray was powerful and exhilarating to drive. This example is finished in Tuxedo Black with black interior and soft-top, the well-known “triple black” moniker applies. The presentation is nicely set off with the bright components that include front and rear bumpers, windshield and grille details, as well as the optional front fender louver inserts. The Corvette is powered by a small-block V-8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. Equipment includes power steering and brakes, plus radio; the battery is new and the brakes are fresh. Rally wheels are wrapped in Goodyear blackwall tires. Only 708 Corvettes received Tuxedo Black from the factory of the approximately 28,000 built.
