A Ford advertisement for the 1957 Ranchero described the vehicle as “More than a car! More than a truck!” This was a somewhat enthusiastic way of pointing out the transparently obvious. Little changed over the years as Ford’s car-truck continued to be an incredibly useful vehicle for homes and small businesses for carrying everything from furniture to garden supplies. This example has been meticulously restored in recent years to factory correct specifications. Finished in the desirable colors of black with a red interior, it has been with the same owner for the last 35 years. The 289-cid V-8 and four-speed manual transmission combination allows for a very serviceable and stout power source that should easily provide for the next 35 years.
