1941 marked the last year of full automobile production before World War II. Spencer Tracy was selected as America’s favorite movie star, and as part of a Chevrolet promotional contest, was given a new 1941 Chevrolet. There were many improvements in 1941 and additional standard equipment for the Special Deluxe included a deluxe steering wheel with horn ring, stainless steel hood moldings and window reveal moldings as well as a chrome plated license plate lamp. Richer upholstery material was also installed. Properly outfitted with the 216 Blue Flame Six and a three-speed transmission, this coupe has proven its worth as a past participant in the Great Race. In addition to aforementioned equipment, it also sports an AM radio, clock, under dash accessory gauges as well as turn signals. The black paint and saddle cloth upholstery presents well. This is a very attractive pre-war Chevy not to be missed.
