Of the over 46,000 Corvettes produced in 1978, a limited 6,502 were outfitted with the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car graphics, based upon a one-per-dealership offering. The upgrade was a full $4,300 above the base Corvette price. Finished in the Pace Car colors of black and silver with silver interior, this outstanding L-48 350 example features an automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, polished alloy wheels, mirrored T-tops, factory air conditioning, and a very rare AM/FM/CB Radio that still works! MSRP on this Pace Car well exceeded $14,000 when new. Recent servicing included new brakes calipers and master cylinder.
