Much like the rest of the American automakers, Cadillac downsized the 1979 Eldorado in response to rising gas prices and shifting consumer preference towards fuel economy. In addition, the trend was to a smaller and lighter package for automobiles. The biggest change during this generation of Eldorado was the reintroduction of a convertible in 1984, the first since the 1976 model. Priced at $31,286 each, 3,300 were sold. The Cadillac offered here has been with only two owners since purchased new. Now showing approximately 23,000 miles, it has been maintained to excellent standards from day one. Finished in white with white top and matching leather interior, it is an elegant automobile, worthy of the Cadillac crest.
