John Gunnell, author of countless automotive publications, coined the term "Wurlitzer" for the 1941–1946 Chevrolet trucks, which is a wonderfully descriptive term. The point is clear: these are attractive trucks with brilliant Art Deco chrome grille and trim. Much credit must be given to the Chevrolet designers for their work, which has stood the test of time. A 1-1/2-inch increase in wheelbase resulted in a larger, more impressive truck. Offered here is a beautifully restored pickup that will be prized in any collection. It is exceptionally clean and detailed in every way, with high-point paint finish and fully restored brightwork throughout. The interior is polished to appear as new and includes the Chevrolet DeLuxe heater. The underside is as clean as the top and will require little effort to be show-ready once more. A body-off restoration in 2005, of an original, rust-free example, this pickup truck has been driven sparingly ever since and is certainly one of the finest examples in existence.
