This was an exclusive partnership between Chrysler and Maserati to create a sport luxury touring automobile that was reminiscent of the early Thunderbirds of the 1950s. With a body produced in Italy with hand-crafted supple glove leather interior, it's Italian style was only matched with its powerful American 2.2-litre transverse-mounted Chrysler turbocharged four-cylinder motor with a heavy duty three-speed automatic transmission that was based on the Chrysler TorqueFlite units.

This particular car was delivered new to a high-ranking Detroit executive whom kept this car as a display in his office for many years before it was sold to its current Southern California collector. Usage was kept extremely low and the odometer displays less than 5,000 miles. Today the car remains in impeccable condition as its buttery yellow finish shines both throughout its body panels and its highly sought after optional hardtop with its nostalgic porthole windows proudly displaying the Chrysler / Maserati Pentatrident which blended the two automakers logos together. To finish the package the car is completed with its nearly flawless saddle leather with complementing genuine wooden trim accents, luggage tray, and polished chrome door jams. Additional accessories include a portable hardtop rack, and an original Chrysler Maserati tool and vanity kit.
