The Jeep Wagoneer was introduced in 1963. It was essentially the first sport utility vehicle (SUV) and paved the way for the luxury 4x4 market. Production continued with minor changes until 1984, at which time Jeep introduced the Grand Wagoneer - arguably the most luxurious American made 4x4 of the time period. Three years later, in 1987, Chrysler purchased American Motors. Under Chrysler ownership prior problems that plagued the Grand Wagoneer were fixed and minor improvements were made to the exterior of the vehicle. Many enthusiasts consider the Chrysler era Grand Wagoneers to be the best examples of the model. In 1991, Chrysler brought production of the Grand Wagoneer to an end.

This 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is presented in burgundy with faux wood trim. The car features four-wheel-drive and is powered by a 5.9-liter, 360-cid V-8 engine which is paired to an automatic transmission. Power equipment on the car includes power windows, steering and brakes. The interior of the car is in very nice condition, completed in a burgundy featuring air conditioning and radio with cassette player. The car was originally an East Coast car, and because of that has some corrosion on the quarter panels and seams. However; chassis, axles and structural integrity of the vehicle appear unaffected. Recent services completed on the Wagoneer include a tune-up, carburetor rebuild, new fuel sending unit, new front and rear brakes and tires, as well as the replacement of the exhaust system from the catalytic converter back and most notably, the car has just passed California smog.

In 1990 Jeep produced only 6,449 examples of the Grand Wagoneer, making this somewhat of a rare vehicle and a great addition to any collection.
