Addendum: Please note that due to California emissions, this car can only be offered to a dealer or out-of-state resident. Please see an Auctions America Car Specialist for more details. Also, please note that while Auctions America has been able to get many of the cars in running condition, these motor cars have been on stagnant display in a museum setting for some time and we highly recommend buyers and potential bidders satisfy their questions as best as possible in advance of bidding. All cars are sold “as-is, where-is” and no guarantees are warrantied or expressed in any way, we also recommend a full mechanical inspection prior to any road use.

Approximately 7,500 examples of the Ferrari 360 Spider were produced from 1999 to 2004 and it has become one of the most noteworthy sports cars of the era. The number of cars equipped with the F1 transmission is reported as 379 when numbers were compiled after 2003 model year production. The beautifully designed Pininfarina body and its rounded lines remind many of the legendary sports racers campaigned by Ferrari in the 1960s with its rear engine bay length, twin rollbars, rear fairings and steep windscreen. Ferrari engineers created a top that automatically folds away inside the engine bay, thus ensuring purity of line. The transformation from a closed top to an open-air convertible (spider) has been described as "a stunning twenty-second mechanical symphony". CDS engineers used shared Ferrari CAD data to develop a one-touch mechanism employing eight hydraulic actuators and two electric motors in an articulating aluminum and steel structure.

An entirely new all aluminum-space-frame chassis was fitted with a 3.6-liter, 400-hp V-8 engine longitudinally and results in the 360 having a top speed of nearly 190-mph. This exciting example has the desirable six-speed F1 “autoshift” with paddle shifters located in the steering column area. This striking Ferrari is finished in Azzurro Nurburgring with black leather interior and all of the accoutrements of a machine with such status. Factory five-spoke alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, blue leather-wrapped rollbars that match the blue soft-top, stereo, power-operated multi-position seats, owner’s manual and Ferrari toolkit complete a most well-presented Italian motoring package.
