Ferrari introduced the 328 in 1985, replacing the 308QV. The car was offered in GTB (Gran Tourismo Berlinetta – coupe) or GTS (Gran Tourismo Spider – Targa Top) configuration. The car was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti from the Italian design firm Pininfarina. The 328 retained the side ducts and hide away headlights from the 308, but now featured softer lines and body colored bumpers. The 328 engine featured Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and Marelli electronic ignition. The car’s top speed was reported to be 163-mph. One source states that Ferrari produced 6,068 328 GTS’s from 1985 to 1989.

This Ferrari 328 GTS is presented in red with a Targa Top. The car is powered by a 3185-cc, 270-hp DOHC V-8 engine which is transversely mounted and paired to a five-speed manual transmission. Power equipment on the car includes windows, steering and brakes. The interior is completed with tan leather bucket seats, an AM/FM radio and air conditioning. This 328 GTS is reported to be a one owner California car that was purchased at Los Gatos Ferrari. Included in the sale are original “California blue plates,” vehicle service records as well as the original window sticker.
