Pontiac introduced the Grand Prix in 1962 as a replacement for the Ventura. By 1977 Pontiac was in the final year of third generation production of the Grand Prix. The cars featured subtle design changes from the outgoing 1976 model. The 1977 Grand Prix was a hit and achieved record sales for Pontiac. The third generation Grand Prix was the last of the larger body style as downsizing began in 1978.

This 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix is presented in black. The car is powered by the optional 350-cid, 160-hp V-8 engine which is paired to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment for the car includes power steering and brakes. The interior is completed in black featuring air conditioning, radio, rear window defogger, tilt column, and rally gauges with clock. The exterior of the car features deluxe sideview mirrors and factory wire disc hubcaps. This car is reported to be an original, and is an uncommon non-vinyl top example.
