After its stunning 1939 introduction; in 1956 Lincoln introduced the second generation Continental Mark II at the Paris Auto Show. The car was perfectly proportioned with a long hood and short rear deck. The Continental Mark II, in 1956, really depicted how grand an American car could be. In an effort to depict how special the car was and elevate its status, Lincoln offered it for sale with loads of extras and the lofty price tag of $10,000. In 1956, Lincoln produced 2,550 examples of the Continental Mark II. Quite exclusive, the second generation Continental Mark II was produced through 1957.
