Chevrolet introduced the Corvette in 1953. By 1961, the car was nearing the end of first generation production. Nineteen sixty-one marked the last year of the two-tone side cove paint scheme as well as the first year of the four taillight design, an element that going forward would become tradition with the Corvette. In 1961, Chevrolet produced 10,939 examples of the Corvette.

This Corvette is nicely optioned with a color matched hardtop, sunvisors, windshield washers and wide whitewall tires. The interior is completed in black featuring bucket seats, clock and a radio. Included in the sale is an owner’s manual and photos of the restoration work done on the car. Only 1,580 Corvettes were optioned with fuel-injection in 1961.
