DeTomaso introduced their mid-engined Pantera sports car in 1971 as a replacement to the Mangusta. The car featured coachwork by the Italian design firm Ghia. The cars utilized a ZF transaxle and a Ford powerplant. The Panteras were sold in the United States through Lincoln Mercury dealerships. The 1973 Pantera won Road Test Magazine’s Import Car of the Year – beating out Italian rivals Ferrari, Lamboghini and Maserati. The last Pantera was delivered in 1992. Over the course of the production run, roughly 7,000 examples were produced.
This 1973 DeTomaso Pantera is presented in silver. The Pantera is powered by a 351-cid V-8 engine which is paired to a five-speed manual transmission. The vehicle comes with an original bill of sale, all service records, old registrations, handbooks and manuals. The car features a black interior equipped with air conditioning, power windows, eight track player and radio. This Pantera is reported to be a California car which was sparingly driven. The car is described to be in wonderful shape.
