This very clean and attractive two-tone 1957 Ranchero was restored by Larry Evenson, the founder of Concours Parts in Carson City, Nevada. An enthusiast with a keen eye for detail, Evenson clearly wanted to keep the vintage spirit and look of this classic Ranchero body style and update it with more modern mechanicals.
The Ranchero features a 428-cid V-8 engine mated to a C6 automatic transmission for effortless cruising. Power is put to the ground via a nine-inch rear end. A set of McLean chromed wire wheels wrapped in Coker radial whitewalls looks stunning against the two-tone red and white paint which is accented by Ford chrome. The brightwork has been done to a high standard and two exterior spotlights give the car some additional attitude. Subtle ‘428’ badging on the front fenders is the only exterior indication of this Ford’s hidden improvements.
A neatly trimmed interior features two-tone seats and an original steering wheel and gauge cluster. Air conditioning has been added. This Ranchero is a fine vintage cruiser and a good driver.
