This 1946 Packard Custom Super Clipper Eight rides on the extended 148-inch wheelbase chassis, and is a true limousine as distinguished by its divider window. These top-of-the-line Packards were both rare (1,246 long wheelbase Custom Super Clippers were produced in 1946) and expensive, with a list price of nearly $4,500.

This example is understood to have been a West Coast car all of its life, which would follow given the information on the car’s data plate, which notes it going to “Reynold C. Johnson Co., Oakland, California 3-12-47.”

The current owner purchased the Limousine from Oregon a few years ago. A very clean and complete car throughout, the rear passenger compartment is really the heart and soul and presents in fine condition, with fold-out seats in good working order.

This model is recognized as a Full Classic by the CCCA, making it an ideal tour car. The indicated mileage of just under 77,000 is believed to be original mileage, and would appear commensurate with the condition of the car. Surely, it would be hard to find much better value for money in a classic.

This car is titled as a 1947.
