This wonderful Mercury has been the recipient of an exacting restoration by Larry Evenson of Carson City, Nevada, and features the best period OEM accessories available. Rarely restored to this level of fit and finish, this Mercury Coupe started its life at the St. Louis assembly plant and must have led a charmed life to end up as the head-turner offered here today.

This emblematic two-tone 1950s cruiser showcases the spectrum of optional equipment that was available in 1951, complete with a Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission, rear fender skirts, a radio and whitewall tires. In addition to these options, the Sport Coupe has been fitted with a variety of other accessories including a Continental kit, accessory sunvisor and OEM Mercury twin spotlamps.

The two-tone pale yellow paint with green roof and matching Continental kit have been done to very high standards, while the brightwork has all been refinished and presents extremely well. The detailed engine bay is all stock, while the interior is very inviting with dark green carpets and beautifully redone upholstery.

Truly one of the nicest examples of this type we have come across, if you’re “crazy ‘bout a Mercury”, this is just the car for you.
