Painted beautifully in red with complementary tan interior this Alfa Romeo is much to be desired. The 2600 had something that the earlier models lacked, specifically a double overhead-camshaft, six-cylinder engine, which gave it smoothness, flexibility and a top speed of 125-mph. The owner reports, “it has rare and desirable factory original Weber carburetors”. This engine fits neatly into the same engine compartment as the four-cylinder 2000, and it had been developed from the Giulietta engine, suggesting that its designers had a six-cylinder in mind for the model from the beginning. It had the addition of single-piece bumpers, built-in driving lights, and a single air intake atop the elongated hood. This particular example has a straight, rust free body, and is in very nice cosmetic and mechanical condition throughout. It has been recently serviced, and all it needs now is a new, caring owner.
