The build on this Chevrolet Nomad started in April of 2012, with an all-original sheetmetal California car. The only sheetmetal that has been replaced is in the firewall, which needed to be done to fit the modern engine and transmission. The body was taken down to bare metal and finished properly with body filler only being used for perfecting the surfaces. Some of the molding was removed to give the body a more smooth and modern look, while maintaining the classic Nomad look. Completion of this stellar restomod was finished recently in 2015.

The exterior is painted in Pacific Sunset Fusion Orange that contains five extra fine metallic colors and two colors of pearl blended to make this laser straight body glisten. The car is riding on a Gun Metal Gray powdercoated, Roadster Shop Pro Ride Phase 3 chassis with Hiedts Superide suspension, U.S. Mag Bandit wheels, six-piston brake calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear of the car.

Powering the car is 5.7-liter 410-hp LS1 with many aftermarket modifications and a performance exhaust system that includes Hooker ceramic-coated headers and Magnaflow mufflers. Transferring power to the Moser Super Track differential is a 4L60E automatic transmission.

The custom interior has been finished with Dynamat Extreme applied to the floors, roof and doors. The seats are made by Glide Engineering and custom wrapped in a tan pleather vinyl. The carpets are German wool and special polished stainless strips protect the cargo area from damage. The dash is finished with a Dakota Digital VHX full gauge and engine management system. An Alpine entertainment system with 1,000 watts of Custom Autosound amplifiers has been installed. Vintage Air system supplies air conditioning, heat and defrost with a simple electronic interface in place of the stock controls.
