In addition to the new-for-1957 styling, the big news that really caught buyers’ attention was a choice of four powerplants. Among them was the optional 312-cubic inch E-code variant, producing 275-horsepower through a modified Holley dual four-barrel setup. Arguably the most attractive of the “tri-five” Thunderbirds, 21,380 examples rolled off production lines during the extended model run.

This Ford Thunderbird E-code is powered by the 312-cid V-8 engine. From the factory this car came equipped with power seats, windows, brakes, a radio and a heater and defroster. This Thunderbird was restored by marque specialist Frank Stubbs. Frank has a well-known reputation for restoring Thunderbirds to correct factory specifications. Included with the car is the original build sheet.
