Addendum: Please note this vehicle is titled as a "1928"

The Seagrave Company was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1881 by Fredric Seagrave. In 1891, the company moved to Columbus, Ohio and remained there until 1963. It was then acquired by the FWD Corporation. This series of events has led the company to be the oldest continuous producer of fire trucks in the United States.

As one would expect, this fire engine is completed in red with brass work adorning many parts of the vehicle. The brass grill shell shines brightly, and is topped off with a Motometer. The truck is fitted with a ladder, extinguisher, cowl mounted spotlight and a black button tufted interior. Powering the truck is a Plymouth straight six-cylinder engine, an upgrade from the Continental engine that is presumed to have been fitted originally.
