Porsche’s 991-series adaptation of the 911 GT3 RS made its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2015, sporting an enlarged 4.0-liter flat-six engine. A facelift followed in February 2018, bringing with it an uprated engine with increased output and a screaming 9,000-rpm redline. Externally, the car was styled more aggressively, with additional ducts to aid brake cooling, and new side skirts and a colossal rear wing influenced by the GT2 RS.

Just a few months after its arrival, the 991.2 GT3 RS became only the third production Porsche to break the seven-minute barrier at the notoriously challengine Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, following in the footsteps of the ground-breaking 918 Spyder. Flat out, the GT3 RS could hit 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds and a breathtaking top speed of 192.6 mph.

Specified similarly to the cars featured in the marketing material soon after the model reveal, this 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS features Lizard Green exterior paint, a new color developed to communicate the extroverted and performance-oriented nature of the vehicle. As shown on the options list provided by Porsche of London Ontario, a variety of desirable options further enhance the car’s beauty and function. The bright exterior contrasts wonderfully with high-gloss black door handles, lower mirror trim, and satin black wheels with Lizard green edges.

Stepping over illuminated carbon-fiber door sills, one sees the theme continued into the cabin with 18-way adaptive sport seats finished in black leather with Lizard Green stitching and Alcantara inserts. Lizard Green trim extends across the center console, dashboard, and door cards to complete the look. Driver inputs are controlled through a leather wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and a Porsche PDK gear selector. Furthermore, a white-faced Sport Chrono stopwatch matches the instrument dials, while a Bose sound system treats occupants with enhanced audio fidelity. A 90-liter fuel tank and front-axle lift system greatly enhance convenience in all types of driving conditions.

Delivered new to Ontario, Canada, this 911 GT3 RS has remained under the care of its original owner over the past half decade, and just 5,577 kilometers (3,465 miles) showed on the odometer at the time of cataloguing. An invoice on file confirms the car received its first-year service in 2019. Greatly benefitting from conscientious single ownership and being driven so few miles, this superb GT3 RS presents in wonderful condition and will be of particular interest to marque enthusiasts seeking to add a well-preserved example of Porsche’s foremost track-focused production model to their collection or, better yet, to experience its full, exhilarating performance on a circuit.
