Everything about the Bentley Continental Supersports was engineered for a single purpose: to deliver the most thrilling driving experience possible from a Bentley. The fastest, most powerful Bentley ever, it featured a significantly tuned, more powerful twin-turbocharged engine and extensive use of lightweight components throughout, including carbon-fiber and Alcantara interior trim, and the largest carbon fiber-reinforced silicon-carbide ceramic disc brakes on a production car. The result was 0–60 in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 204 mph. In 2011, a convertible version joined the original Supersports and gave up little to its coupe sibling in terms of performance, capable of 0–60 in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph.

In February 2011, four-time FIA World Rally Championship winner Juha Kankkunen ventured onto the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea in an attempt to beat a record he had established in 2007: the flying kilometer ice speed record. Reaching an average speed of 205.48 mph behind the wheel of a Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible, he bested his previous record by 5 mph. To celebrate this momentous achievement, Bentley put into production a series of 100 Continental Supersports Convertible ISR (ice speed record) models.

This example is finished in the fitting color of Arctica White and features the ISR Mulliner design package, which includes exterior graphics and red accent detailing. The interior is lavishly appointed in black leather with red piping and Alcantara inserts. Additionally, liberal use of red carbon fiber adorns the various surfaces throughout the cabin, while a plaque designates this convertible as number 80 of 100 built. Rarely used throughout the past decade, just 60 miles showed on the odometer at the time of cataloguing.

Built to commemorate a specular achievement, the Continental Supersports Convertible ISR is a highly exclusive and capable automobile, offering an unparalleled combination of performance and luxury like only Bentley can. As such, it would augment any collection by providing a welcome contrast to the usual German and Italian supercars.
