  • Single ownership from new

Slightly more refined and touring oriented than the “standard” BMW Z8, the Alpina V8 Roadster version today remains hugely desirable in its own right. Cosmetic changes included larger Alpina wheels, a suppler variant of Nappa leather for the interior, and special Alpina gauges along with an Alpina steering wheel. A handful of mechanical changes were made as well to reflect the car’s touring-oriented nature. The engine was returned for increased torque lower down in the rev range, which made the automatic transmission more tractable, and the suspension was revised to be slightly softer. Just 555 examples were built in total, with 450 destined for the U.S. market.

The 419th example produced, this particular example was completed by BMW in the spring of 2003, finished in Titanium Silver metallic over a two-tone black and red leather interior, just as it presents today. Sold new to Florida, the car has remained in the custody of its original owner since new and presents wonderfully throughout following a thorough cosmetic detailing. Driven and enjoyed regularly by its owner, the car shows just shy of 38,000 miles on its odometer today, and is surely ready for further road use. Outfitted with the desirable hard top, the car is also accompanied by its original manuals, window sticker, an original sales brochure, and tool kit.

A wonderful car to drive thanks to Alpina’s refinement of BMW’s excellent Z8 platform, this example checks all the right boxes and begs to be cherished and enjoyed by its second owner.
